a few weeks ago i was being chased by a dog, and i was screaming.

tonight i walked, very aware there was a dog somewhere nearby, and i was about to be chased again. i was getting ready to scream, going through my backcatalog of horrified cries, trying to find the sound of pain that would be appropriate for tonight. i am about to be chased by a dog, and i'm preparing to scream. it is so close, i'm taking all the time i have to collect the best possible scream, and see how it holds up against all past screams, all past dogs that have chased me up and down the same street for as long as i can remember.
