ypsilanti's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- four rules for now tonight neil young is going to be in michigan. today is your birthday and i love you. last night was noise camp, the sixth annual, and the first one i ever got out to. what an amazing time. exactly like i imagined, you know.. tents, soydogs on a fire, logs and rocks and trees, and all sorts of sounds and animals. one bear. basically amazing, and so good to see everyone who's getting ready to leave. you don't understand exactly what it's like to be where i am, but you will really soon. then you'll understand why exactly it sucks that you're leaving. we've seen this town go through so many changes and phases, being as much a part of it as we could for the entire time, but in the past six or seven years, we've seen enough to understand who is going to do really great things and who isn't. why else would we be so much on your side and try to help as much as we have. maybe it doesn't even seem like we've been trying to be supportive of the things you're working on, but like i said, you'll understand soon enough, and maybe then people will think of you as a grumpy old scenster, too, but you'll feel alright about it because you'll be too busy to hear their critiques over the beating of your own heart. anyway, leave, but return, and keep intact every struggle and dissapointment and enlightenment that you've created over the years. ypsilanti rules!!! here are some other things that rule so much right now: AS WAVE FOLLOWS WAVE MAGAZINE. rules rules rules!!! new issue is dedicated to Wolf "Slicer" Magazine, and Andrew wk. rules.
