ypsilanti's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- in your bed i slept for too long in your bed. when i woke up after noon, you'd already left. i sat in your sheets by myself. stared out the door to your back porch, and at your dresser drawers and the dress that you wore in a pile on the floor. no there's no wrong or right. just new ways to get lost in the night. there ain't nothing like the sound of old advice. i slept for too long in your bed. i expected something else, i got something else instead. i left you a note explaining why half the dishes were broke, for when you got home from work. and you felt so misled by the books that you'd read, you sat up in your bed and you sang to yourself and your song, your song said "there ain't no one to blame. just an old list of forgotten names. you would feel misrepresented either way." so, basically i wrote this song up there as a response to G-jay's antics and continuing disrespect. i hope the fucker likes it. just kidding, man!! i was ripping off a bob dylan song (like always) and i the words just kind of showed up. sometimes they have to just kind of show up, because i'll be playing a show and they haven't shown up yet, but there's a blank space in the song where they're supposed to go. that's the case with the song up top. "IN YOUR BED". grace just finished cutting my hair. thank you grace~! sarah came home and said i look about ten years younger, and i truly look more like a boy and a hundred percent less like a jean jacket seven-eleven parking lot robbler. sad in some ways, fine in other ways. today was slow and songly. i cleaned our repulsive, ungodly terrorfying bathtub last night, and it sparked some sort of soon-to-be-shortlived cleanliness streak in me. maybe not, but our house is real trashed all the time. rebel yell, or whatever.
